AssetExchange Analyzes Credit Union Credit Card
Portfolio Trends for 1st Quarter 2008

PORTLAND, Ore., May 27, 2008 – AssetExchange, the credit union
community’s leading credit card portfolio advisory and brokerage firm,
has analyzed 1st quarter 2008 credit union credit card portfolio trends.
For the roughly 2,100 credit unions with credit card portfolios of $1
million and larger:

• Credit union credit cards continue to gain strength in the market.
Credit card balances have increased dramatically, growing by about
9% since March 2007 to nearly $2,450 in March 2008.

• The percentage of portfolios that grew more than the rate of inflation
during the previous 12 months increased from 70% in March 2007 to
75% in March 2008.

• Total card assets for portfolios over $1 million increased from $25.3
billion in March 2007 to $28.7 billion in March 2008, a 9% increase.

• Total card assets for portfolios over $1 million continued to increase
as a percentage of total assets, increasing from 4.35% in March of 2007
to 4.66% in March 2008.

• Portfolio sales have continued to decline, with just over half of the
sales volume of Q1 2007. Approximately 10 credit unions with credit
card portfolios larger than $1 million sold their portfolios during the
first quarter of 2008, with a combined dollar volume of roughly $60
million. These numbers represent a decline of nearly 40% compared
to March 2007, when 17 portfolios with a combined volume of $110
million were sold.

$1 million in each time period and is based on NCUA call report data.
Inflation values are from the U.S. Department of Labor Bureau of Labor
Statistics (3.98% between March 2007 and March 2008).
